Recent Mentee and Achiever at Warriors’ Academy 2019, Message to the world. The journey is as important as the destination.
It has been a rewarding journey with a lot of lessons learnt and a lot of experiences gained. With just one goal in mind, I set out 3 years ago to attain a residency in the US. Like always life put a lot of setbacks in my way to test my patience and determination and yet I covered them to at least set my foot on the road leading to a US residency by doing the 1 st and 2 nd Steps of USMLE. However even after achieving this feat I would have given up had it not been for the support and guidance offered by the mentors I met along the path! One of the most important moves in achieving a residency in the US is having a strong CV and the mentors went above and beyond to help me build a strong and impressive CV.
From guidance on observer ships in the US to the application system and from providing shelter in a foreign land to mentorship on how to successfully interview. The mentors are there to show you the right path on every step of the way!
A successful person is someone who learns not only from their own experiences but also from those of
others. Through this mentorship program you not only learn to build a stronger version of yourself but also gain knowledge from experiences shared by people who have gone through all the struggles and also get to network with peers who are going through the same struggles as yourself.
As I look forward to starting a new phase of my career, I also look forward to mentoring younger physicians and strengthening them on their path to achieve their career goals!
